Week Five - 52 Week Challenge

Here is my finished project for the week. I've had the top pieced for a few weeks, but could not decide how to quilt it. I had something else in mind (snowflakes, or frost) but after I pulled out all my thread and thinking about it, decided on a simple swirling design that makes me think of wind.

I made this table runner as a personal challenge to myself to design a table runner for each month of the year using charm squares. For this one I used fabric out of my stash, but I plan to make a second one with a fun set of charms that I purchased. Though I'm not sure of my choice for the triangles at the moment. I think I just need to get started and see how it goes!

I have my February runner designed on paper, and also have my charms for that, so should be getting that done next - after all Valentine's day is rapidly approaching! Well, I suppose I should get back to work, I'm determined to get the pattern for this written out by the end of the week, and it's already Wednesday. As usual I have more things I want to do than I have time to do them all in!

Stay warm!

Pamela

The swirling wind quilting is a perfect choice Pam.

I still haven't figured out the pattern making thing. For some reason it is a bit daunting to me.

Beautiful colors in this item! Of course, blue is my favorite color, so that helps. :-)
