August Giveaway #1

I have a good friend that enjoys celebrating her birthday so much that she celebrates for the whole month of her birthday - doesn't that sound like fun?  Well, I have decided to celebrate my birthday all month long and in the Hobbit tradition of giving gifts to others, have planned five birthday giveaways for this month!  I will post one each Sunday this month and everyone is invited to join in!

For my first giveaway, I am going to share some of this cute fabric that I just had to re-order!  I got the last three yards, enough to make 4 baby quilts.  I will send this week's winner 2/3 of a yard of this lovely fabric, plus my baby quilt pattern.  No obligation to make it, just wanted to give you the option!  I'll also throw in a few charm squares to get you started!

Thanks for participating, be sure to tell your friends and don't forget to check in next week for another chance to win!

Happy birthday month! Being a NW girl I must say the Space Needle is pretty cool, especially when you think you amazing it would have been when it was new and so unlike other things in the area.

Never been to the Liberty statue in ny!

The best place I've visited was a first or second centure coloseum in France, unfortunately it was shut, so we could only see the outside. Not too many historic buildings in NZ, we are too young as a country. Enjoy your birthday, I think I too might take up celebrating for a month.

My favorite landmark is the rocket when I cross the Alabama state line because no matter where I have been I am almost home :)

Mount Rushmore is my favorite landmark because it has happy memories of taking my children there when they were small, and going there myself as a child. Thanks for the fun and happy birthday month!

Oh there are so many places I want to see. I live in NY, but have never seen anything in NYC. The hubby saw Mt. Rushmore, but I was not with him.... so there are still many on my list.

Happy Birthday to you and I like your style of celebrating!
We visited Europe a few years ago and saw many landmarks. I'd say my favorite was visiting the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City, Italy. It was and is just beautiful! I also enjoyed roaming through Pompeii and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Did you know there is a Subway restaurant right across the street from the Leaning Tower of Pisa? Yep!

My favorite landmark is the Colosseum in Rome. I was fortunate to stay in a B&B just 2 blocks away from it for a week. I am still in awe of it.

I visited the Grand Canyon with my family when I was in Junior High. Oh my what a fabulous week going up the canyon. My grandparents went along and we had a "grand" time. Very memorable. My husband and I took our children there and it was totally different seeing it through their eyes. And my husband and I will be going again soon.
