Setting a goal and making progress

I've been sneaking in little bites of sewing time in between household chores this week, and made some good progress on my list!  I've got 90% of the sewing done and 1/4 of the blocks done for the Black And White Blog Hop coming up in a couple of weeks!

I've also got my Getaway blog hop quilt about 75% cut out and 1/4 of the blocks done for it!

The cutting is a lot of the process for this one, once that is done, the blocks go together very quickly!  Can't wait to show you...I am in love the French Blue line from Island Batik.  The combination of blue and yellow is so cheery on these dreary winter days!

I put my blocks together and finished the lap quilt size of my Whimsical and Wonky challenge from December!  I did not want to store those blocks, so now that it's a top, I can hopefully get it quilted this month.

I think it's a super fun quilt!

Now that the Christmas stuff is all put away and the first of the month shopping is done, I should have more quilting time - that is, as soon as I get my sewing room in order - it's still a disaster!  I've been working around the piles, but I plan on spending a couple of hours today and tomorrow re-organizing and reducing the visual clutter that's starting to make me crazy.

Oh - and I am teaching my Charming Hearts pattern at Threads That Bind in three weeks!  Got to get a new sample done for that, I forgot to pick up the charm pack while I was working this week, but it's a quick make, so I'll squeeze that in!

That's about what I've been up to for the start of the year - I am making progress, and I haven't felt too pressured yet.  I am just trying to keep my main goals in front of me and focusing on them.  I think the main thing that I want to choose as my One Monthly Goal (OMG) is the quilt for the Getaway Blog Hop.  My day to post on that is the 28th and I want to have a grand finish for the 2018 year as an Ambassador for Island Batik!

Linking up with Busy Hands Quilts for Finished or Not Friday, and with Elm Street Quilts for One Monthly Goal.  The linky parties are fun and are great for being accountable!  Join in, it's fun!
